With your painting skill, I expect to see murals on your dice the next time we get to game... :P
We talked about the detail on your tank commander several times over the weekend. Nice work!

Thanks!

I'll bring some more stuff to Little Wars to show off. Honestly though, after seeing the tanks in Warlords display at Salute, I feel like a monkey with an airbrush. WOW. Incredible stuff!

Going to have to learn some new techniques for this upcoming Desert War range. I was going to start fooling around with hard edged camo anyway. Maybe on some Panthers......

All this boowhooing about buying dice and markers is like sitting at a table discussing politics with a bunch of old ladies... stop it already! Once you buy them you have them for a long time. I know one thing any investment I make in this game will last for generations. Im getting my sons involved and mabey my grandchildren when their born. Which I hope is no time soon of coarse. As for the rules not being explained thoroughly, I think Canadasteve, Grant and the others have been doing a great job of building up the drama for what seems to be an awesome historical game that I cant wait to sink my teeth into. Thanks guys!!! My point being is, how about everyone just sit back ,relax, have fun painting your armies. Maybe even do some research and teach your kids a thing or two along the way. Isnt that what this is all about anyway!

Nobody's "boowhooing" about having to buy dice, the comment is about buying rulebooks, getting excited about getting to play them then realising that you can't play because you haven't got the D7 dice or whatever and then having to wait a week for where ever you bought them from to be bothered to send them.
Been there a few dozen times.

No complaint here.

Just wondering how they will effect play if there are indeed "special" dice.

Holy crap! Aren't you the same BA who just started a thread complaining about an order being bashed about in the post?

@BA Thanks for the compliment mate :D I try my best to give a flavour of the game without giving too much away before it is released. Afterall I am not employed by WG (I wish ;) ) so it should be up to them to give out the main meat of the rules.

As for the dice guys, dont sweat it, you can play the game using normal D6 dice. The special dice will be produced to enhance the game but are not essential, trust me I have been playing this for 2 months now with normal dice (well my opponenst seem to think they might be weighted dice  )
Cheers

I have not seen the game yet - but if I have raised your excitement level, that can't be a bad thing!

I'm excited based on the prior releases, and knowing that Sir Rick and Mr. Cavatore are behind the wheel. It's going to be good - there is no possibility of failure!

OOOOO, be careful there, Grant. To big to fail, unsinkable? Don't jinx it!!!! :D

I wish Warlord would just gimme those rules already. I'll buy D 2.75's if I have too!

Hey Cubster, now that was some funny S..T!!!! Where the hell did you find that pic. And yeah I guess I was complaining, but like I said Ive been waiting to start up some minis for this game ever since I read about them and upon opening up the box I felt like a kid who got a flat tire on his brand new bike just before he races the neiborhood bully.

You think you've got it bad, I bought a load of vintage Airfix 1:32 8th Army off eBay, all of them broken and knocked about, with a view to repairing them lovingly. Then literally about a month after I did, Airif re-released the set and I saw a lovely new box of them in a hobby shop for about 1/5 what I paid!
