Just echo the desire of seeing plastic Companions. Like most people I would want multiple units- probably 30 figures min if they were plastic and thus both affordable and with variety of pose.
I like the look of Macedonian infantry- both metal and plastic. I will be buying both Greek and Macedonian infantry (having started with single box of Classical Greek Hoplites and blister of Cretan Archers). I picked up several of the Romans and Celts boxed set/blisters and I can see myself in time buying most of the WG infantry for Alexanders invasion army.
But I might go elsewhere for my cavalry. I like the look of both the Thessalian and Greek Light Cavalry- they look nicely sculpted. But there are only 3 poses. In a unit of 12 you are going to notice the lack of variety if you end up with 4 of each of the same pose. And there is no command blisters.
For a comparison look at Aventine's Tarentine Cavalry. With 4 different blisters that means I can get a unit of 12 cavalry each with individual poses. I don't want to start a discussion on the merits of any particular manufacturer- that would be discourteous to Warlord. But it is important for them to realise how they stack up against others in terms of variety of poses.
So Warlord please do more blisters for variant poses of existing cavalry (especially Thessalians) and please, please, please look at doing plastic Companions.
Thanks very much
James
