Pike & Shotte in Wolverhampton

Now I don't know whether this is the right place for this or if I have broken some unspoken rule of the forum, but here goes anyway.

I am wondering whether there are any Pike & Shotte players in Wolverhampton or the surrounding areas that might be interested in a game or games at some point. We have a small group of 3 people who play Pike & Shotte at my house fairly regularly but as you can imagine this leads to some unbalanced games. There used to be * of us at one stage, but one decided Pike & Shotte weren't the rules for him, instead riding off into the sunset to play Forlorn Hope (boring), and two others have a transport problem (the price of petrol) but love Pike & Shotte (duh) one is only part time (Army, based in Germany) and one disappeared completely (probably eaten by wolves).

As I said that leaves 3 of us and between us we have fledgling Parliament and Royalist armies (I am the Royalist) and I also have a Covenanter Army. I have a full time wargames room with scenery, buildings, and a large purpose built expanding wargames table that is permanently covered with grass effect material for our games. And if that isn't enough we also play Black Powder and Hail caesar in 10, 15 & 28mm.

I don't live in Wolverhampton, but I am 30 minutes drive away. Always glad to hook up with fellow BP Trilogy enthusiasts.

Thanks for the messages. if you want to pm me than I can give you the details, phone number etc.

I have taken stock of what we have that we can play with immediately for Pike & Shotte, Blackpowder and Hail Caesar.

28mm ECW enough small game. (we had masses of this stuff all painted before the others left, we are expanding this though)
15mm ACW enough - large game. (and growing)
10mm Marlburian - massive game. (and growing)
10mm Punic Wars - massive game. (finished)
10mm Macedonians & Persians - massive game. (Indians next)
28mm WOTR - massive amount, (but currently being rebased)

We also have lots of other armies in various stages of completion or armies with no enemies since the other players left, for instance 28mm Egyptians (hittites got eaten by wolves with their owner).

We are Wyre Forest Wargamers and play Pike and Shotte. Are we too far away from you. We meet in Droitwich 3rd Sunday of each month 2 until 7pm

Hi Gordon, I know of your group, came and played a couple of games with you guys last year when you were still at the sports club, plus a game or two at wightwick. Droitwich is a bit far for us really, plus our guys all play Pike & Shotte Rules by Warlord games and I know that you guys are developing your own ruleset which to be honest isn't to our taste really.
