251/1D Hanomags without sculpted bases

Postby onthelam » Tue May 22, 2012 8:03 pm

Hi All,

I remember reading on here a while ago, unless I'm mistaken, that the 251/1D Hanomags were being redone without the bases sculpted on? Am I correct in remembering this? All I see available on the website are the 251/1Ds with sculpted bases. Any clarification would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think all the inherited vehicles are being redone at some stage to remove the bases, it's just a question of how far along the queue your hanomags are and where Warlord are in relation to it.

Thanks for the heads up. A friend of mine purchased two hanomags from a local store over the weekend and they didn't have the bases sculpted on. I hope it's safe to assume all further hanomags from here on out won't have them.

Warlord's been producing the non-based version for some time now. I think it's safe to say if the box has the Bolt Action artwork on it, you're safe.

If you're buying from us it's 100% safe - the only vehicle we still sell with an integral base is the Wasp flamethrowing carrier and that will be getting the treatment before too long...

I bought a 251/1D yesterday at my FLGS in Pasadena, CA and it did not come with a moulded base. However, it did come with two thick slabs of resin underneath each of the treads, so I sawed them off. Unfortunately the tracks are really thin and during the sawing a chunk of track on both sides broke off. I just used green stuff to fill in the gaps.
