Wouldn't you just need the dog since the equipment would be the same?
Let them eat Static.

I think the idea is to have unique sculpts. Variety adds flavor to the range - simply having interchangeable weapons (or adding a dog) smacks of......hmm..... plastic! :P

The Foundry german sentry dog handler is the kind of dynamic pose I imagine:

I guess I'll also need a Sgt Basilone firing his Browning 30mm from his hip, and a dalmation for d/2/7 in Guadalcanal. But Chesty comes first (as well as the crazed bayonet wielding ones mentioned earlier).

WG already makes this one.

Marine crew for the LVT and jeep might be nice too

... Those Dog faces in the Army already have Patton...

We' dogfaces would like - but don't really need - Lt Col Vandervort in his improvised Airborne rickshaw (per The Longest Day).

And I'd be remiss if I didn't say thanks for the Cocky Airborne Jeep Passenger (Thanks!) ; but how about the Jeep Ambulance? Jeep, 2 stretchers, driver and sitting (or walking alongside) medic with plasma bottle.

Why not make some prone miniatures for each of the ranges, so we could get even more diversity to the units?

It would be pretty awesome, right! Take the prone US Marine BAR gunner for example! just a few guys firing weapons, reloading, stuff like that! I know you can convert some, but it just doesn´t look as good as a miniature sculpted like that.

Please? ;)

I like the idea. The only downside I found was basing my prone figures, but that's a small price for more cool sculpts.

my GW prone sniper came on something like a 20x40mm rectangular base, seems like it would do the job just as well here for my prone marine with Tommy gun tossing grenade.

I love prone miniatures especially when their is some movement in them.

The Marines and Japanese offer some nice examples.

Cheers,
