Middle and Late Bronze Age Highlanders of the Zagros and eastern Taurus Mountains. These include Hurrians, Turukkeans and early Kassites of the Middle Bronze Age and in the Late Bronze Age, tribes of the Armenian Mountains as far as North-West Iran, including those tribes of the Nairi Lands around Lake Van, and the early Urartians before the rise of the Urartian state proper in the Iron Age.
These fierce warriors are armed with a mixture of spears, axes and shields and are all wearing boots as a defence against the rugged conditions of the highlands surrounding lowland Mesopotamia.
These figures can also suitably be used as early Thracians, who were allies of Late Achaean or Mycenaean armies of the Late Bronze Age.
Middle and Late Bronze Age Warriors of the Anatolian, Pontic and western Taurus Highlands. These include the Gasgans or Kaska of northern Anatolia and the Kizzuwatna of the Taurus Mountains.
The figures can be particularly used as levy or seasonal army spearmen in Early Hittite armies and as Gasgan allies in Hittite Empire armies.
