I’ve played 4 other sailing ship games. They have all had either counter intuitive elements, been overly complicated, or to simple. Of all the previous games played, probably enjoyed the Wooden Ships, Iron Men, Avalon Hill board game the most.
After reading through the rules, I’m extremely intrigued with this rule set. They look very promising, even if a little generic. I do not own, but have played quite a few games of Cruel Seas, and the variance from that system to this system seems just right.
So has anyone developed a QRS or any other player aids yet? What scale ships do you intend to play with. I’m going to use 1/1000 Ships remounted on 3″ x 1″ wooden bases.

Also, working on custom ship cards.

On a quick serch I found USS Champion (8) Guns
Unfortunately, not a lot of details for that particular ship, but Three Deck lists 145 Xebc.
