For painting purposes, is the late war Heer camo zeitbahn(sp?) different from the Splinter worn by FJs on their smocks? I am looking between the two and not seeing a lot of difference

Fallschirmjäger started war with a plain dress “graugrün”. In wartime they got a new “Knochensack” with slightly different cut and made from Camo material. That was Buntfarbenmuster 41 ~ Splintertarn B. First use was on Crete. It was also used by Luftwaffenfelddivisionen troops.
Difference was smaller and more geometrical forms.
1943 the Fallschirmjäger also got Sumpftarnmuster 43 stuff.
