Bit confused here.
(1) How come they can run at the same speed as infantry? Is the rational that other infantry are loaded with gear anyway, so it’s all similar?
(2) it seems they cannot move at all unless on open terrain. Since they can only move with a run order, and run orders are not allowed in rough. Am I right? Seems odd they couldn’t move a bit through rough?

January 17, 2020 at 3:59 am #173465Stuart HarrisonParticipant1. Movement is by unit type (Infantry, Artillery, or Vehicle), with different movement rates for each. As mortars are infantry support teams, and there are no special rules restricting them, they move at infantry rates.
2. That was pointed out by players pretty early so they added an errata:
“Page 67, Fixed special rule, fourth paragraph.
The sentence should be changed to read as follows: When ordered to Run, fixed weapons move the normal 12″ over open ground or 6″ over rough ground, obstacles etc.”They can still only use a Run order to move, but provision now exists to move over rough ground etc at the 6″ rate.
