Greetings!
My name is Jon Russell and I work as the Event Coordinator for Warlord Games in North America. Some of you may have heard me on a few Podcasts (SNAFU, Lead Pursuit and No Dice No Glory to name a few) or had the chance to chat with me at one of the many events I attend. You also may know me as one of the Co-Authors (along with Steven L. Urquhart Smith) of Bolt Action Korea (BAK).
My purpose in writing this today is to get you up to speed with my current KPA Painting Challenge. Yes, I may be a bit biased but I think the current KPA basic building blocks (Rifle, SMG and LMG Squads) miniatures are some of the most fun, easiest and quickest (I was able to paint 1,000 points in about a week!) I have had the pleasure to paint in the past few months and You can see my efforts below:
To prove to you how enjoyable these miniatures are to paint I am setting the following challenge: From now until Midnight CDT ( I am in Oklahoma) on 31 October 2020 I challenge everyone to purchase one of these three mentioned squads and paint them up and get them ready for the tabletop. If these models are not truly some of the most dynamic, enjoyable and fastest minis you have recently painted I will take the first twenty entries into this challenge off your hands and compensate your efforts with the equivalent credit plus a little extra for your painting on the Warlord Webstore. The only caveat? The miniatures must be fully painted using at least three colours, and must have a finished and flocked base. Yes, this is a blatant attempt to beef up my very own KPA and get more people playing Bolt Action Korea but I think you will discover like I did these models are truly a joy to paint!
