So with the RN & KM boxes shown for preorder today…
Whos up for guessing what ships & aircraft the IJN & USN will get next time?
I guess the IJN will get the ISE or Fuso class Battleship for something between the Yamato and Kongo
The aircraft…1 x Emily, 4 x Pauls (the fighter designed for flying off the Ise BB) & 4 x georgesUSN… not sure… they’ve got 2 carriers & a couple of large battleships… so not idea..
aircraft the B17! no idea on the others…January 22, 2021 at 4:15 am #183821HobbsParticipantPersonally I’d like to see some of the Jeep Carriers and more cruisers for the USN. IJN I would have said Nagato but with there being no difference in Damage and AP between 14″ and 16″ guns(WHY?!), it’s fire power is basically equivalent to the Kongou’s. So probably the Ise Aviation refit for the sheer variety and maybe the Ryuho?

😛
On a more serious note, I second the comment made by Hobbs. The Atlanta-class light cruiser would be a good addition (USS San Diego was an extremely important ship of this class). I would also welcome at least one escort carrier for both the USN and RN. Given that there’s now both a convoy box, and submarine boxes for each of the major navies, a CVE for convoy duty seems like it might be a good addition. And finally, I’d like to see an Independence-class light carrier.

February 27, 2021 at 9:11 pm #184585EumerinParticipantSo…
It’s been about a month and a half now since the last release announcement, including the German and British aircraft boxes. I would have expected to see the next release announcement – including aircraft boxes for the US and Japan – to show up by now. Wonder why the delay?
On the positive side, the store page can now be sorted by nationality. Nice! This cuts down tremendously on the amount of store items that players need to search through to find what they want.
February 28, 2021 at 12:16 pm #184601NatParticipantI’m guessing that due to the delays in shipping the Italians (pushed back 2 months now), and they are gearing up for general release of the BP 6mm American Civil War models, they are holding off until they can actually manufacture them.
February 28, 2021 at 5:45 pm #184613EumerinParticipantAwfully inconvenient time to put a pause for reasons that they should have known about beforehand. We’ve got only half of the aircraft boxes out, those boxes are not (for the most part) aimed at the ocean that saw the vast majority of carrier combat, and the US still doesn’t have anything but fighters.
In a year, it won’t matter. But it’s a bit inconvenient right now.
March 1, 2021 at 8:41 am #184627NatParticipantNottingham,UK has been in lockdown since effectively December if not a bit earlier. This limits the number of staff a company can have in and working. Now the factory where I work only has 2/3rds of its staff in and we have more space per staff member due to what me make. This means that warlord would at a guess have a production shortful of upt0 50% (I dont think its that high but I have no way of knowing so I’m looking at worse case scenario of halving staff) at a time when their sales are increasing due to gamers being at home and buying more. I know I have brought double this last year than I normally would.
So I’m guessing they’ve made their plans, adjusted for Covid working practise (first delays), and then been hit with more Covid restrictions (the delay of another month on the Italians). And so now decided to focus on what they’ve promised (BP ACW release) and go back to VaS when thats forfilled to 3rd parties.
March 4, 2021 at 9:00 am #184665ShrokinsParticipantMy guesses…
Japanese aircraft set: Betty flights, Kate flights, and an Emily.
IJN ship: Since Germany got Tirpitz, I imagine IJN will get Musashi.
US aircraft: two of the following types: Avenger, Dauntless, Flying Fortress, Mitchell or Wildcat, plus either a Catalina or Coronado.
USN ship: a light cruiser, as the US doesn’t have one yet. Probably the Atlanta-class. Less likely, but possible: the Alaska-class large cruiser.
March 4, 2021 at 10:14 am #184667NatParticipantThinking of it maybe the US will get wildcats, Devastators & either a B17 or a Catalina (for midway battles – so they have carrier aircraft before 44 :p )
