Hi,
What play area size is recommended.
Looking at play mats and there are 4’x4′ and 4’x6′ – I appreciate that it depends on how big your games become, but assuming that 4’x4′ is fine for the starter set how big does the game have to grow before 4’x4′ is not enough.
Talking WWII piston engines, not Korean jets.

If you dig into the scenarios provided, there’s no need to go further for standard games but if it suits you to go big with custom scenario you can use more space.
One option is to get two mats that can be used side by side with one being see/ocean while the other is inland with one of the two hosting the coast.
It would also be very thematic.
