“Visibility inside a World War II tank was poor, and was often a problem. The crew had to contend with dust, grit, and mud getting into their eyes and throats, especially when it was dry. When it was wet, the dust would turn to mud and grit, which would be spat up at the crew. Goggles were essential for the driver and lap-gunner, but commanders rarely used them.”

Most WW2 tanks did not have optics, etc and therefore a battened down tank would have a very very restricted field of view.

If a tank is in “Ambush”, is the reaction only in the front arc? Maybe 2 front arcs if turret is not aligned with the hull machine gun.
If not, WHY NOT (@WarlordGames)?

If you want all round vision in ambush, maybe you should also be classed as Open Topped (as your commander is poking his head out of the turret).

because turret jam exists…
you are already limited on what type of round you load when you go into ambush
you are limited to one ambush reaction
its a game of the hollywood film not the historical documentry
