ParticipantI find all the various makes of paint alright to use. i use a paint brush, everybody has their own idea as to what the exact colour of British Olive Drab should be. I would go for Humbrol 155, but then I tend to give the vehicle a dark wash, highlight, dry brushing of dust and mud, so at the end of the day it could be any base colour. Thank goodness you didn’t ask about the correct shade of Dunkel Gelb! I once saw three modern British army APCs on a transporter and they were each a different shade of green! So I guess don’t worry about colour correctness unless your using Dunkel Gelb.

ParticipantThere is no such thing as just one correct colour outside of the factory!
All colours (be it paint or dye) fade with washing, wear and tear, sunlight etc.
Two identical bits of kit (be it armour, canvas or uniforms) treated exactly the same will alter colour at different rates.
picture of Soviet BDRMs… look at the shades of green!…. and yes Green paint and dye can go brown….
