Stuart Harrison replied to the topic Designated Loader for an LMG in the forum Bolt Action 34 minutes ago
“Choose which model becomes the loader – you can pick any model in the squad, and you must mark this model clearly, so that both you and your opponent can easily recognise it.”
Your loader is a once off choice – you can’t change it during the game or replace it if you remove him as a casualty.

If a unit is mixed with rifle and submachine armed models, can a player switch which model is the designated loader from turn to turn, so using a rifleman when range is close enough for his SMG models to shoot and an SMG when his SMGs are out of range.

Hi Richard, the next one is written and is set in 1813. I was a playtester, plus John S. has talked of it during a Question and Answer video a couple of months back.
Ben.

I was just thinking about the Epic range and was thinking something that would be both different and interesting would be something along the like of the Japanses Shogunate age or something of that nature, and I am wondering what other peoples thought on this would be.

Welp, i now realize that i replied to a months old post and the 32mm bases probably weren’t on the Warlord store, since they seem pretty new on there (judging by the “new” tag on them)

Hey, i’m very new to K47 (or Bolt Action) mostly just building a small German force for it and I was just wondering if there’s any particular reason why the assistant in the Flamethrower team only has a pistol (and has no ability to upgrade to a rifle)?
Just seems like a strange design choice, as every single model kit of a Flamethrower weapons…[Read more]

Jim welch started the topic Inexperienced offices in the forum Bolt Action 5 days, 15 hours ago
Hi, it seems to me players use inexperienced office as a cheap way of getting the office bonus’s. I have played a few games with a few rule changes which seem to make sense to me.
1. They only add a plus one to morale.
2. They do get the 2 snap toos however one must be used by himself.
I have also played with adding a Veteran Nco to him in w…[Read more]

Mike replied to the topic Ruins in the forum Bolt Action 1 week, 2 days ago
So, if a structure is labeled a ruin, it is not a “building” it is presumed to have a single story for movement and elevation purposes and operates like dense terrain (thus model positioning is important, and range is measured to the models) and the units cannot fire through the terrain only into it. If it is presumed to be a damaged building it…[Read more]

Off the top of my head a ruin is exactly like a forest (dense terrain) except that it offers hard cover, I think that answers all your questions(?) if you think of it like that. I note that the description of dense terrain includes “tumbled ruins” (see below). Have a good read though “RUINS VS INTACT BUILDINGS” on page 153, this one I though was…[Read more]

I am trying to understand how “ruins” differ as terrain vs buildings and rubble. We treat ruins as something between buildings and rubble. We play, you can shoot into it “ruins” but not through “ruins” just like buildings. But like rubble, you can “advance” into ruins and move through them like with rubble rather than enter them by “r…[Read more]

Hi All,
I like playing Black Powder for 28mm Napoleonic’s, is there a planned supplement to cover from 1805 – 1807 for BP2? If not is there a home-brew / fan supplement that would give ideas for armies and lists? I feel early Napoleonic’s misses out and is a great period (especially if you are a French player 🙂 ) .

Howdy Nat! My contention is that LMGs are belt-fed. A BREN is magazine-fed…
A LMG has a crew of 2, is belt-fed, is air-cooled, is fired from a bipod. An MMG has a crew of 3, is belt-fed, is fired from a tripod. Some WWII MMGs were water-cooled. LMGs and MMGs fire rifle caliber ammo. An HMG fires a much heavier cartridge, something in the…[Read more]
