I’m getting to the stage of collecting Epic Battles that I’m looking for storage solutions. I’ve tried rearranging my usual 28mm carry case but find I can’t get many in. What is available for transporting and storing epic battle miniatures?

Hello Donald,

Black Powder is very forgiving with respect to basing and unit sizing. I myself use figures on round bases on movement trays as then they can be suitable for various skirmish games. So my Samurai, fighting Koreans, (using Pike and Shotte, actually) can be used in my Ronin games.

a battle line is calculated at the start of the turn.

You use the lowest level of sails/ speed ship as the speed of the line
You use the position of the last ship in the line for working out where the whole line is in the wind gauge
You move the line from the lead ship

If the ship is anchored, and is in the red zone, have I roll a skill test anyway to be in the wind ? or is it a free move ?

I tried the line of battle, but I didn’t understood if the line can navigate with every rates of sails ?

If playing using the v1 supplements – yes
If playing epic – no… epic is just the epic rulebook (AFAIK – dont have the epic rules, but they way they are protrayed is that they are in place of having to buy the supplements)

Can shrapnel be used at long range? Clash of Eagles (p107) says yes (2 dice) but Epic Battles (p174) only mentions medium range (3 dice).

Also, can howitzers fire shrapnel?
