I think they forgot to update the QRS for the change in the enfilading rule… so re-roll misses.
Regarding units in buildings… page 97 says units in buildings have “no formation as such”. The rule for enfilade fire is clear that skirmishers do not get it, but I can’t find where it definitively says one thing or the other regarding units in…[Read more]

Hello,
I fought a 2nd battle this week. The report can be found on my blog at:
https://thetinsoldierguy.blogspot.com/2021/03/black-powder-rules-battle-report-1.html
I called my battle “The Battle of Many Mistakes” because I sure made a lot of them. Not upset though. These are test games to learn. I plan to take my game to school this week to…[Read more]

The Austrian Landwehr Jäger are of similar quality to the Prussian Freiwillige Jäger. Similar background, being middle class volunteers. Including some Jewish officers and men.
The ordinary Landwehr was brave but long not trusted by the authorities. They feared insurrection. But 1809 the Landwehr did a good show. Good enough that Napoleon dem…[Read more]

Don’t forget as well that in AT2 they are in standard size units. In really they should probably all be small or tiny size units. Since BP2 tiny is limited to skirmish types so the tiny ones, if using BP2, should be brigaded together into small or standard units. The fact that they are so “small” is easy to remember. It’s the same word used to…[Read more]

At the risky of being inflammatory (pun intended) ….
Reply from Warlord:
HI Steve. Thanks for getting in touch.
As far as I am aware the fire check would only be on a hit, but I am going to pass this onto Alessio for confirmation.
I hope this helps and have a nice day.
Kind regards,
Max

Hi Archie – great to hear that there are some stats in Clash. I don’t know much about the Austrian Landwehr, but I’d guess they were worse than the line. In the Prussian army the Landwehr were fairly efficient by 1815, and I don’t know if the Austrian Landwehr reached this level. Perhaps IO has some more info?

Hi,
I have found further information. I ordered a digital copy of “A Clash of Eagles” book, which covers 1812 has stats and lists and rules for the Austrians and includes units such as Cuirassiers whch were not present for completion.
They give the commanders the same stats as other nations (e.g. 7 or 8 for a brigade). However the Austrian…[Read more]

Already sending photos to Warlord per their request.
Even without seeing the photos they are blaming the shipper.
If indeed the shipper rough handled the box, which there is no evidence of, its perfect and has not been opened re-sealed, the fact the one small “brigade box” which had no shrink wrap , while the other one did, would not have…[Read more]

I think the concept is very exciting, even to a wargamer of over 40 years like myself. I have a few issues of course mainly around the use of a single sprue for both sides and the price of the future releases, but the main starter box will keep me painting for a few months. I keep reminding myself that these figures (starter) are VERY cheap,…[Read more]

I am in Canada and the last two packages I ordered were delivered by UPS and Canada Post. Everything in the box was shrink-wrapped and bubble-wrapped. Not saying that the OP is lying, it is just weird how different our experiences are.
