The original Machine Gun Artillery post is https://www.warlordgames.com/community/topic/machinegun-artillery-pulyemyetno-artillyeriyskiy-platoon/
The list is not legal, but I did use two of them in my own 1941 campaign. And any list can be used with your opponent’s agrement.

Steeljackal – the gap in your “exactly” claim is that medics and chaplains ARE non-combatants under the laws of armed conflict, a spotter is not.
The first two aren’t allowed to fire or assault based on thei…

Building an Austrian army in plastic is well covered, so far, I have resisted the temptation to build one.
The Wurst artillery should be less mobile than regular horse artillery but cheaper, guns in general have to be done using metal figures.

@Jacob – thanks for the reply.
I have the metal flak kit already (Xmas gift). I must admit that I prefer the plastic models versus the metal, the latter are a bit more effort to deal with etc. I think I’d prefer to base the gun on something as I can see it getting damaged if not. Plus the basing makes these models stand out a bit more. I will…[Read more]

By this point in the war the Free French where entirely equipped by the US
however 1st Army (France) – Wikipedia as a whole…but if you focus on 2nd Armored Division (France) – Wikipedia
Also if you look at Campaign : Battle of the Bulge it has a Free French Europe platoon.

Hello everyone!
I’m Ben, and have been painting historical miniatures for years, but have only recently taken the plunge into putting my models on the internet and getting more involved in the community. I paint mostly Hail Caesar (6mm!) and Saga.I’ll try and post regular updates on the Hail Caesar forum here, but in the mean time many of my…[Read more]

I am very excited about this new range and just finished painting the free frames you get from January Wargames Illustrated Magazine.
Was wondering about the Gettysburg Battle Mat Warlord Games is selling for this range, as the photo on Warlords website shows a different area than that on the manufacturer’s website (Geek Villian).
Something does…[Read more]

Hello all,
I’ve been racking my brain on a representative way to perform the width-wise bowspirit rigging considering that 1st rates have both a spirtsail mast and top spiritsail mast. Unfortunatly it seems most of the photos from Warlord for the 1st Rate models don’t clearly show this part of the ships, so its hard to determine how this is…[Read more]

Hi Steel Jacket.
The figure scale is 1:56. If this is translated and used as the ground scale, a standard 6’x4′ table would measure 110m x 75 m, maximum rifle range would be 38m and a man could run 18m per move!!!
To make movement and firing ranges more realistic it is conventional in most wargames rules to have the ground scale different from…[Read more]

I’m assembling some German Early War Infantry (Blitzkrieg) and I have a minor gripe.
Personal equipment. Generally this is not moulded onto the figure but provided as separate parts to glue. I don’t have a problem with that but what is presented is a real hotch-potch.
So this soldier has a canteen, a gas mask container and a bread-bag, but t…[Read more]

Knispel Fan, that’s what I was saying that pretty much overall not many Partisans had Armor. You could always just play the Free French Army out of the Battle of the Bulge book, build it with as many FFI units you want, and just support it with Free French Armor/units or anything you might need. Like the FFI is taking them to the target but will a…[Read more]

skh25 started the topic How do you handle Battalia orders and distance in the forum Pike & Shotte 4 years, 9 months ago
In the rulebook it says to measure to the farthest unit and apply -1, -2 etc. But as someone mentioned in a game recently they didn’t say if the distance applied to only that unit’s attempt to activate or everyone given the order. I quite liked playing them both ways actually, one was a limiter of the whole force, the other a great example of…[Read more]
