1. As Nat has already written, in the game an approximation is made, all the guns have the same characteristics.
Only for the Americans there is the special rule of firing in motion without penalty, because compared to other armies the basic service rifle was semi-automatic Garand M1 and not a bolt-action rifle (other armies also had or developed…[Read more] -

1. In this game all rifles are rifles be they semi-automatic or bolt action. The Russians also have a semi-automatic rifle on their sprue.
However most US units are all counted as having the M1 Grande which is why their national rule is to ignore the -1 for moving and shooting. IIRC in the errata a couple of units are stated as having the sp…[Read more] -

Dear camerades,
I have a couple of questions regarding the different national weapons.
1. The Americans have two rifles. Are they used the same way in the game? I mean the Enfield and the M1 Garand. The Garand has only one shot? Wasn’t it faster that the bolt action rifle?
2. The Molotov Cocktail. Shouldn’t it have a spacial rule of it’s…[Read more]

I imagine you have your answer by now but for anyone else I’d recommend a hand drill (available at any hobby store or Amazon) using at least a 1.2mm or 1.5mm drill bit and the box art to approximate locations.

Airfix and Revell sell inexpensive 1/1200 plastic kits of Hornet, Enterprise, Zuikaku and others. The aircraft supplied with these ships are a tad oversize for 1/1800 but a little undersize for 1/1200 but they are separate. Or you could do what I do:

2. Cut to size a blank for a…[Read more]

Nat replied to the topic Rules Question Thread in the forum Black Powder 4 years, 10 months ago
I read it as more a case of two rules 1)artillery can ignore units of skirmishers when forced to shoot the closest unit
& 2) artillery can ignore the skirmishers of a unit when working out LoS & to hit score…. ie ignore the skirmishers and hit the line /column behind them.

Igor replied to the topic Rules Question Thread in the forum Black Powder 4 years, 10 months ago
In 2nd Edition artillery coul ignore enemy skirmishers when firing in some cases. They don`t block them LOS. But can artillery fire through friendly skirmishers?
Example: french ligth battalion is standing betwen french battery and british infantry. British battery can ignore this skirmishers as they are far then 12″ from it and can hit french…[Read more]

Hi all, I’m building a Bolt Action / Konflikt 47 British army so some models cross over nicely. However I’ve noticed in BA my Bren carrier can have a pintle mount LMG but it can’t in Konflikt 47. Have I missed something? Point wise it’s the same (60+10 with Pintle BA / 70 Konflikt 47 no pintle)
Am I going mad or is that correct?

I am excited for this new line as well. I’ve always been interested in the American Civil War though since the original announcement I haven’t heard too much. What is the best way to get new information on releases or does Warlord Games not do too much in the way of releasing information until the product actually launches?

The 4.2 inch mortar btw is for the British (its the heavy mortar)

Benji replied to the topic British Heavy Mortar in the forum Bolt Action 4 years, 10 months ago
Warlord don’t have no, but I bought a 4.2 inch mortar in 28mm scale from madbobs miniatures, along with a few other vehicles warlord doesn’t sell. All you need is to get some crew members for it which isn’t hard. I would also recommend you have a look at places like Rubicon models, Blitzkrieg miniatures, paint and Glue Miniatures etc, as they sell…[Read more]

I may be a bit of a nugget here but is there a British heavy mortar available in the Warlord miniatures range?

Nat replied to the topic Seperate Plane Models in the forum Victory At Sea 4 years, 10 months ago
To be honest… not cost effective for warlord to do this.
If they only put a few in a blister they wont sell and so waste of money manufacturing them/ marketing & distributing them, too many and they either only sell one or two OR the ‘loose plane’ blisters out sell the based planes.
Dont forget that most things are made in house so resource…[Read more]

Hi George,
If you want to stay and defend the field then the unit can stay ‘bent’ as long as it stays there. As this is a non-standard situation then I suggest agree a suitable method to allocate dice with your opponent. Perhaps randomise which side gets the extra dice each turn? You could also consider using the rules for buildings for troops…[Read more]

Hi folks,
it would be nice, when Warlord Games could release Packs with seperate Plane Models, which we can be clue on the Decks of the Carriers.
What do you think about this?

Nat replied to the topic Bending Lines in the forum Black Powder 4 years, 10 months ago
for board sizes, the did say (although it might be v1) that they playtested on a 8′ 6′ board.
For bent lines, I’ve read it as IF you move, you need 1 order to straighten the line before heading off….ie you want to move 6″ down the road you need two orders

Also, this leads to a peeve i’m having with the scenario rules. Map sizes aren’t given. I get this in that playing with different size miniatures will mean different size maps (6 mm require less battle mat than 28 mm). I wish a chart was made for the scenarios giving recommended sizes for the type of miniatures being used (i.e. “In this scenario…[Read more]
