nit pick – which IS important for rules / list questions… thats a MEDIUM AT gun you have in your list, the 6 pdr QF gun, not a light AT gun.
The difference is a point of PEN (which matters for trying to damage tanks, especially at range) and 12″ of range

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thank you for all the great advice.</p>
I have had a second look at the list and created two five man SMG squads and just given the NCOs in the rifle/LMG squads SMG for looks. This has given me one extra order dice.

You could consider another National Characteristic instead of Rapid Fire as that needs lots of rifles and you are “rifle light”. Perhaps Vengeance?

Are there a few airborne theater selectors that allow tanks? Because the British had glider born M22 locusts and Tetrarchs, so there’s got to be a list out there somewhere that allows you to bring one for support.

That’s a very decent list for a British paratrooper Market Garden list. You’ll find it a bit challenging to play someone that has armor as you’ll have to get pretty close to knock them out with a piat or flamethrower, but that’s what makes it fun.

No problem!
It all really comes down to what your playstyle is though. I’ve heard of people who use MMGs, Medics, and Tiger 2’s because their goal is to have fun. Historically British airborne squads had 3 SMGs mixed with rifles, so if you do go that way it’s cool.
In the end, there’s no right way to build a list, just some ways that are more…[Read more]

Also currently creating house rules for flamethrowers, the way the rules read it looks like you just get to overkill one guy per turn with it. (since each soldier is “one unit”)
Sorry for the long winded reply but forgot to mention, LMGs are pretty meta in Firefight. The way they work (if you hit a unit, you can shoot at another unit within 6″…[Read more]

Yeah it’s a really fun skirmish themed way to play, and it takes like 5 minutes to learn.
But one thing I noticed was that what makes Bolt Action so fun is the national theme that each army has, and the wide variety of troops to choose from. With Firefight there’s just less flavor, there are no national rules or special rules like tough fighters…[Read more]

looks dope! I haven’t played an official game yet so take this with a grain of salt, but what I’ve heard on this forum and from seasoned players is that mixing LMGs and SMGs isn’t that effective since they are a “long ranged suppressing weapon” and an “up close and personal fire on the move weapon” respectively. But if it looks cool, then go with it!

I missed these rules when Warlord first put them out. After reading them, they seem worth a try. I agree that if the officer can snap to all figures within 12″ then there’s no more random movement. Also, as each figure fights separately, it seems like cover would be harder to figure out if you’re partially in it.

So a few key points of BP v2 CORE rules (so not the epic versions which may be different)
1) Only a single unit (with a some exceptions for small unit / artillery) can fight on a facing
2) Units either fight or dont, the number of die they use is modified by formation, commanders, die split between multiple enemies etc not by ratio in contact. …[Read more] -

Hi there! I’m just trying to understand how to act in the following case: two regiments are clashing in hand-to-hand combat, one ‘ A’ with three stands and one ‘B’ with five, but they are colliding only partially, that is only the last two right stands of ‘A’ are in contact with the last two of ‘B’. How to manage this? Thanks, Paolo
