Is it like a tank with multiple weapons where, although all the quads have to be declared at the same target, you roll each weapon individually?

The rule applies to ‘units or weapons’ that fire multiple HE shots simultaneously – it doesn’t matter whether you’ve got one barrel or 20 firing at that target unit, the same rule applies as it’s all coming from one unit. The automatic cannon is just an example of a way you can get multiple HE hits.

While I don’t have my rule book on hand my gut reaction would be to resolve each gun individually. Otherwise, you could run into situations where you could target a unit where you’re rolling 2’s, and then daisy chain the explosions up to 7 inches away to another unit that might have been on 7’s to hit. It looks like one big fight. The right hand Green unit is engaged to the front (incidental) as well as the flank. It can, therefore, use half of its attacks to the front as well as the flank.

The big question here is “whose turn is it”. I mean, Unit doesn’t just “end up” in that position.
A) Let’s assume that it is Red’s turn. The Blue unit is within proximity, so Red can move on Initiative and move back. That would take it away from the danger of a flank charge in the following turn.

In the image I have a red formed unit that has ended up facing sideways to the enemy blue unit.
What is it allowed to do in terms of movement?
And similar if the red was changed to open order (right side of same pic) what are its options?

Thanks Master Chief. I am in the process of trying get a few boxes of these, but sadly they are not $10 per box anymore.
It looks like Warlord Games got some of the old Wargames Factory stuff, but I wonder who has the WW2 molds. More importantly, I wonder if they will be releasing these figures again?
