Are Ghar Empire / Ghar Rebels equal in difficulty to master or is one easier than the other?
They both have their issues. The Empire will have fewer activations until they start to use their Amplifiers. The Rebels have fewer suits and more activations but their troops are squishier.

I did that set long ago, before Warlord took it over. In Imperial Kürisser style. The number of options is impressive. But the horses a bit stiff in poses. I tried to give them a bit more Action.
I use to assemble all miniatures before painting. I do single miniature basing so handling is easy. I use plastic glue, the melting of surface giv…[Read more]

Hi,
I’m not a very skilled painter but here is a few things I can share with you:
– Sprues: priming on sprue save time but you still need to adjust a few things once pieces are cut from the sprues. Being the best option or the worst (or something in between) really depends on the kind of models. Don’t forget that you also may have to spend time…[Read more]

Hello,
Yesterday, I got my first box of Black Powder Miniatures: Cavalry of the Sun King. I’m impressed. They are gorgeous! I haven’t painted miniatures since I was in school and then they weren’t models. They were 15mm lead figures.
Anyways, I saw a video that didn’t recommend painting miniatures on the sprue. So, I clipped of the pieces I…[Read more]

It is sad (and a little funny) that the newer Warlord Games plastic figure sets for their Bolt Action series are the “butt” of jokes.

So reading through the Battle for the Pacific Rules manual that I got with the August copy of Wargames Illustrated and theres a few questions I’ve got – I hope these are due to the rules manual being a cut down version of the full book!
1) AA against aircraft – pg 16, says that the roll is never modified, yet pg 15 aircraft trait large has a…[Read more]

Due to production/print lead times, V2 will be at least 6-9 months from the end of any CoViD furlough, which now means mid-2021 at the earliest. So buying the Kar’A Nine starter might be great if you want to run with Algoryn or Concord or want relatively chap access to the rulebook and templates. The K9 box originally had the mini-rulebook but…[Read more]

As far as I can see you may purchase better weapons for your “allies” for just 1 battle and they are then lost.
It looks as though the starting band you set up can only ever have the weapons they start with.
Can you buy them better weapons when you 1st recruit them.
can you upgrade their weapons during the campaign?

Battle of Britain 80th Anniversary Campaign update. 27.07.40. Both sides are finding the fighting a strain as losses mount. The Germans are not slacking in their attacks, and the British are still rising to meet them. Convoys are still getting through, but it’s a far from easy run. Overall the RAF are just holding their own, but it’s a close run…[Read more]
