Hi everyone,
I’m in the mood of creating some token to track the laden status during a game but as I didn’t experience the rule so far I’m asking those who already played it some advice about two specific points:
– what is better to use, a token to show that a plane has the laden status (then remove it once load dropped) or a token that show an…[Read more] -

First edition, once you made it into close quarters both sides removed all pins.
Second edition you don’t – the assaulter just loses a single pin for passing the orders test to make the assault, otherwise pins are now irrelevant to close quarters.

Guys, in the book it says johnny Alpha costs 22 notoriety and then list 2 hand guns with a notoriety value. Are these included in the 22 notoriety or on top of?
When rolling up allies for a campaign and selecting SD agents it says the ally is allowed 1 mutation, is this free or do you have to pay extra for it?

They don’t remove pins, but everyone fights as if they have no pins. There is no ‘to hit’, only to wound rolls made.
If you’re being charged and wanting to shoot the oncoming enemy, pins still apply and i think range is calculated from the distance the model declared the charge. Hope this helped.

I could swear at some point I saw that during an assault both sides removed all pin markers but can’t seem to find that in the rule book. Did I imagine that or could someone point me to where that is?

Yes. I tried to put yellow home-made decals on a black spaceship. I would up trying several different types of decal paper before painting a white circle on the ship to apply the decal to.

Hmm, there are very good French soldiers available for early Louis XIV time. Including the Musketeers. Google for 1672 . Infantry still with pikes and no bayonets like in TYW. I did a larger French force (and 1672 Dutch, Spanish, Austrian and English) and like them a lot.
A certain Nottingham company did some French TYW foot long ago,…[Read more]

Hopefully some company will release 1/56 scale weapon and personal equipment sets in plastic , like you can get in 1/35 from Dragon , MiniArt & Tamiya . That way you can toss the under / over scale bits and get all your figures looking pretty good . The other plastic 1/56 company who shall not be named , has personal gear for various armi…[Read more]

Warlord’s newer weapons are probably a little larger to look good with the heroic type troops . The 1st plastic German troop kit has smaller size rifles ( on the separate sprue ) than the weapons on the newer German troops . But the MP 40 and MG 34 seem to have stayed the same?
I just compared them. The MP40s are a little bigger in the newer b…[Read more]

Good afternoon all.
I am new to Historical war gaming. I’m loving the setting of the 30 Years Wars, and I have just purchased The Devils Playground supplement and the Imperial Army Deal box set.
For my next purchase I’m looking to build a French army. I want my commanders to be the the 3 musketeers (not historical, but fun as hell). I’m having a…[Read more]

Tim replied to the topic Starter Set – Short of a pilum arm? in the forum SPQR 5 years, 5 months ago
Hi Nigel.
The sprues are correct. As for the pila armed sprue the lack of a pilum equipped arm is for variety purposes. I believe that the shield with pilum attached can be used to show the legionary has one he just isn’t holding it. If you like the look of all your legionaries equipped with pila then I’d buy some more sprues later on.
As for…[Read more]
