Okay, here’s a really oddball one for everyone here:
If you have a Support Lt with a few buddies near an artillery piece and you use the Recrew option when taking an action to move ALL of them over to the gun, what happens to the officer’s order die?
We already have rules for officers in units, so I’d assume he continues to function as an of…[Read more]

Dense terrain, you can see into our out of dense terrain, but you cannot see right through it. This means a model in dense terrain can draw LOS to a model outside and shoot at them, but they can also have LOS drawn to them and be shot at in return. Enemy shooting into the dense terrain will suffer the appropriate cover modifier unless the m…[Read more]

Can Airborne units operate with captured weapons and if so, what would be the added points for Panzerfaust, Assault Rifle or SMG?

If the majority of a unit are in hard cover and cannot be seen, can you still shoot at those that can be seen butt hey benefit from the protection of the hard cover??

What are the rules on firing into/out of dense terrain? Example can a unit fire out of dense terrain but not then be shot at in the dense terrain?

Nat replied to the topic Heavy weapons at long range and pinning in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 8 months ago
Is it a heavy weapon – yes
Does the base Pen change – NO! (The only thing that I’m aware of in the whole game that changes a base pen value is a german MG rule in one of the DDay selectors)
Does the weapon have additional modifiers that apply to the Damage calculation- yesIt even says – Regardless of if the hit can damage it!
So the HMG is…[Read more]

On long range heavy weapons (except its shape charge) gets -1 pen against armoured targets. If HMG (+1 pen) is shooting at inexperienced armoured car (DV 7+) at long range, pen value reduced to 0, but does HMG shot this still count as heavy weapon in regarding able to still pin that vehicle? Regular and veteran vehicles cannot be pinned, since…[Read more]

Thanks Stuart for clarifying that.

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic recce selections in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 8 months ago
Correct. Some tanks have the recce special rule, meaning you can have multiple recce vehicles in your platoon. An example would be a US platoon with an M8 Greyhound in the armoured car slot, and either an M3 Stuart or M24 Chaffee in the tank slot. There are also selectors allowing you multiple armoured car slots and other ways to get mu…[Read more]

In the WW2 British Army Medical Orderlies were protected by the Geneva Convention and were permitted revolvers for self protection. Stretcher bearers, however, were normal soldiers with extra duties; they had no protection from the Geneva Convention and carried their normal weapons.

Hi, I note in general when creating an army your allowed to take 0-1 armoured cars and 0-1 Tanks, Tank Destroyers etc. So you might take an armoured car and a light tank which might have the recce option so having two vehicles with this recce escape reaction! Is this correct?
Thanks

Garry Wills replied to the topic Waterloo Epic – Brigade Orders in the forum Black Powder 1 year, 9 months ago
Given that only one unit can contact the front of a charged unit, giving a brigade an order to charge that defending unit automatically results in one unit charging into contact and the others supporting. Consequently this must be OK under the brigade order rules. So I agree exactly the same thing is untenable. I guess that option 1 is the best…[Read more]

WL *may do*, we just dont know until they either show them on an open day (Aug/Sept sort of time) or they appear in the news letter. However a number of people use AIM (aircraft in miniture, or any other 1:200 scale)
Discord – the unofficial WL server:
