Hi there, yeah I have the wing Commander book, but was wondering if they are going to release any models for the period, beside the jets they have out now.
Just wondering is there a discord channel at all ??

Theres a number of extra aircraft in Wing Commander! book also if you head over the the Ready Room Facebook group… a couple of the beta testers hang out there (as does the author!) so if theres not already any stats they can gen up some semi-offical ones for you (they are the same guys who did the aircraft charts in Wing Commander.)

Beside the jets we have right now, do you think there’s any chance of seeing turbo prob aircraft of the period , as there is quite a few of them, my favourite being the tigercat, its just a good looking aircraft.

It does seem like the best way to capture intent over game mechanics. I think we have agreed that we will state intent for the brigade and then the players will agree what that move consists of, e.g. two moves at full speed and change of formation. We’ll see how difficult its becomes to get consensus when the battle becomes intense.
I think the…[Read more]

Nat replied to the topic Midway Scenario Table in the forum Combined Arms 1 year, 9 months ago
Its just a D6 to pick which scenario to play
However you’d need the scenario as well as they include the table setup and deployments.
If you have the original BoB box then you can just use the scenario table in that… I think that the Airstrike book may have a version as well – but in work so cant check for you.

Hi Steven. We try to stick with option 3 – based on what would seem reasonable for an order to group of battalions, for example. 2 just feels ‘gamey’ i.e. how would you give that order? 1 is at risk of players being a bit cheesey. It is a bit imprecise I suppose, and the group needs to agree how they want to work it to avoid argument and kee…[Read more]

Our group has just started with the epic rules and are trying to establish the constraints for brigade orders. Some of the different views:
1- As long as they start and end 6″ from each other and do the “same thing” all is good. By “same thing” we mean move->move->change formation, move->move->move, change formation -> move->move, etc.
2- All…[Read more]

We usually play that you can’t target enemy troops with shooting unless next to the hedge, but that you can declare charges without needing to be next to them.

Charge The Guns replied to the topic "To Kill a King" and "Bad Blood" Rule in the forum Pike & Shotte 1 year, 9 months ago
Hi Mark. Yes, I believe the ‘Bad War’ rule was meant to be used. I think that in the Covenanter’s list the rule is referred to as Bad War there.

Stuart Harrison replied to the topic USMC War Dogs in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 9 months ago
It’s a unit of 1 dog handler with an option to add up to 3 more handlers to that unit, so they would all have to remain in formation. It’s not a multiple selection special rule allowing you to field a number of units in a single slot (eg: US MMG team, Soviet AT teams, Japanese Suicide AT).
The extra selection provision under selectors is purely…[Read more]

This may be covered in a topic before, but since I can’t get the forum system to search for it, I’m asking about the War Dogs. Specifically, if you choose to have 2 or more teams, do they have to stay within 1 inch of each other, or can they spread out over the table? Also, with the extra selection attribute, does that mean you can get a War D…[Read more]

“To Kill a King” mentions a “Bad Blood” rule. I can find no explanation of this rule. Is this a variation of the “Bad War” rule involving the Irish and Clansmen instead of Landsknechts?

The “To Kill a King” supplement has a lot of scenarios with substantial amounts of hedges. The book covers movement and combat effects, but nothing regarding line of sight. I have not see these country hedges in person. In online pictures (nearly 300 years after the fact) these hedges seem tall and thick. How should they be treated regarding line of sight?

Howdy Donald Linn! I’ve noticed some of the folks I game with are hyper-aggressive, which is easy to do since minis don’t bleed. I’ll try to field “assault” squads that are mostly armed with SMGs and STGs. Then I’ll have a “support” squad, armed with 2 LMGs and rifles, that’ll stand-off in good cover and provide long-range fire….
