Line of sight only.  No multiple launcher currently has a spotter option.

Frankly, they’re already broken enough lol.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>Vs. Japanese infantry, you’ll likely want to put your own squads in terrain and on Ambush, as no matter how close they are you’ll still get to shoot as they come in.   wait to shoot point-blank on your Ambush to up your hit chance and take as many out as possible before melee, THEN the melee will be simultaneous due to the terrain which will give you a fighting chance.  As Soviets you can go toe to toe pretty well with SMG equipped troops, and body armour will help you as well.</p>
Also, vs any opponent, lay on the HE thick as you can.

Additionally, exploit his Bonzai limitation to charging the closest unit by sticking a non-vital unit closer to them and forcing them to charge something small/useless so you can hammer them.  If they decline to blindly charge, they’ll have to roll vs whatever pins you’ve been stacking on them to do anything else but charge that useless bait you put in their face.

In addition, related to the Commonwealth topic…  for purposes of the 1940-42 Commonwealth Infantry Brigade on pg 99 of Campaign:  The Western Desert, is the term “Commonwealth” a shortening or disambiguation of the term “British Commonwealth of Nations”, understood to include Britain, her Empire, and protectorates/dominions of the time such as India, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, etc?

As such, is the intent that all such countries (to include Britain itself) can utilize the list, as opposed to the list being reserved for strictly non-Britain members of the Commonwealth?

Most scenario references in Western Desert appear to refer to the terms British and Commonwealth somewhat interchangably.

    Thank you in advance!

Torpedoes take planning and tricksiness to use.  You have to get up close, and take the risks inherent in getting that close.

Destroyers and Cruisers are using their speed and a few judiciously utilized Evade orders to get in close and be ready to pounce (as first activation on a non-Evade) if you happen to win initiative.

Granted, your rolls are still going to be suboptimal, and likely shooting into a Torpedo Belt too, but I’ve found torpedoes fun and challenging to use, and a great thematic way to fight.

The Bulgarians wanted a slice of Yugoslavia too, and a Balkan campaign would be a nice opportunity to get them expanded selectors/ options the way the Hungarians did in Fortress Budapest.

The follows above are correct if you’re talking about ambushing.  The tank would not be allowed to pivot its hull/chassis to bring its hull- or casemount-mounted weapon to bear on an ambush, but a turret would be able to turn.

If you’re talking about moving for purpose of making indirect fire ranging reset, I’d say that a hull/chassis pivot in place would not count, nor would simply turning a turret.  The key term being “in place”.

There are more rules about engineers and usage of explosives in Duel in the Sun and Western Desert.  You may want to check there!

The New Guinea book has several lists that would include the 6lber for Australia

    1. Remember also that you can’t indirect fire on ambush.   So, as LordRao said, make sure to announce what type of ammo is loaded (AT vs HE) for your ambush as it’ll be for direct fire use only.

    Thank you!

The Axis Support unit is not limited to tanks, correct?  So if the Axis Support slot on easyarmy only shows a certain selection of German tanks, if I wanted to take an armored car or sp artillery, that’s legal?

Additionally, it appears that the easyarmy Bulgarian Reinforced Platoon omits an armored car slot, where the book pg 64 has one.  Presuming the book is the authority, which armored cars would be available?  (The same ones as in the 1941-44 Occupation Force selector?)
