OK, this is how it went;
I tried to get my Panzer III to fire, it had a pip, so needed to pass an order test.
The mysteron used his special powers and made me throw a double six, which of course is FUBAR.
I then rolled again, result of which was panic, move at the run directly to the nearest table edge.
The nearest table edge being 9 inches directly behind it.
However, as I understand it, it can’t turn 360 degrees and run move?
Therefore only turning 180 degrees, it couldn’t move towards the nearest table edge.
What should it have done?
Nat, TBH, I haven’t looked that deeply into the lists.
I really asked the question on behalf of another club member, as he was having a problem logging in.
I like you, have the opinion that you can add the command trait to any vehicle.
But, if you differ, my advice to any German player would be to take a command armoured car,
my choice would be 231, upgrade to a command 232, 20mm, MMG and recce rule, Not bad for 105 points.
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for looking Nat.
I see it as you do.
Only the Germans have command vehicles listed. As far as I can see, and its not a German only rule.
I am unaware of any other command vehicles listed, I don’t see that changing.
Unless Warlord are secretly working on a range of allied command vehicles.
I hope that scaley back isn’t giving you any trouble.
Nat, could you provide a link to the article? Thanks
Thanks Nat.
I have noted that.
I may make my figures run backwords, just for a laugh.
We played that right then.
I think the quarters deployment make things a bit more of a challenge.
Maybe a QR for v3 would be a nice giveaway in a future copy of Wargames illustrated ?
hint hint
Transport, yes, I feared that would be the case.
Good news about the pioneers, makes that new German infantry look very nice.
In my view, spotters had limited contact, normally only with the unit they were directing for.
Saying that an RAF officer could direct mortars for an infantry unit is bonkers.
But I understand why the rules are written that way. But its too unrealistic for me.
