Agree with all above and it’s about finding a solution that fits the way you want to represent history.
It’s worth bearing in mind that 2 Battalion Brigades are more costly as a Brigade Commander (worth his salt i.e. SR8) is 25pts , that’s almost the cost of a Battalion. That soon adds up if you have several Brigades of 2 Battalions each and you’ll quickly get outnumbered on the battlefield.
Hey guys,
If it’s any help we play the Brigade Broken rule slightly modified. We apply the rule when greater than 50% of the Brigade breaks (not shaken).
This increases resilience all round but also solves the 4 vs 2 battalion conundrum. A 2 battalion brigade would have to break in combat, a 4 battalion brigade would be broken when 3 units break.
It plays well for us.
Hey all, can anyone help with a query on BP2 rules for generals.
Question:
If a Brigadier orders one of his units to advance and fails his roll, but the General is close enough to invoke his re-roll option and passes, the unit moves. Can the Brigadier go on and order other units in his brigade or does his original roll count as a failed commanders? Opinion in split in our club on this one. What do the expects say?
