Being in the right mood I did two more, the small R1 – 16 pre war type. Used in Mediterranean, going via Rhone river south. I did them in 39-41 style, just a single 2 cm AA. Later they got two twin ones.

I liked the rule suggestions. But as was stated it was a heavy affair and you had to dig a lot. The German army handbook for it gave a lot of rules how to choose the position. Ever in front of a ridge and the earth taken away so that there is no trace to be seen.

You find the Rules in Campaign Battle of France page 96 for a unit of a Kriegsberichtserstatter and a cameraman.

Hi Andrew, the Q turret thing on the Nelson & Mogami has already been brought to warlords attention, as has the bombers (like all bar the Betty for the japanese) having lost their 4 DD per attack run limit).

The game is model scale agnostic (ie it doesnt care about the size of your ships) so yeah switching to metric should work.
As to a smallest Imperial size table… well I think a 4 foot square with the starter size fleets should work – if you feel its not quick working say your playing in morning mist and bring the horizon in to 25″ instead of…[Read more]

These boats saw much service, mine clearing and laying, escort and anti submarine work and patrolling. Many got lost but a surprising number of these wooden hull boats survived. From my R 53 – 72 version seven got used post 45 for mine clearing and other jobs.Some strange, so R 55 became a restaurant at Oldenburg for some time.

Its a heavy weapon.. all heavy weapons except flame throwers, shaped charges (panzerfausts etc) and HE are kennetic so lose energy. However that rule is only applicable against armour, that is vehicles with a DV7 or more.
Against softskins & infantry you only have the modifier of the weapon.
So a HMG is always D6+1 against your panzer…[Read more]
