An army that collapsed in just eleven days in April 1941 …
I suspect that was the main reason why focus was placed on the Yugoslavian partisan resistance forces which started fighting back from June 1941 onwards starting in Croatia (according to Wikipedia).

Or a smaller battlefield indeed.

IIRC didnt Andy Chambers say that the FirePower would need to be upped as planes had a max of only about 4 MGs (so that would be FP 3)
Also speed would be 25 mph per Inch of speed instead of the 50 for WW2 because otherwise the game would be slow to get aircraft in to combat. -

Ah yeah….
In which case I’d use the fall of france french list as a base with modifications – ie only light tanks, free conscript rifle squad instead of Artillery. As they where mainly french equiped.

As Master Chief said, there isnt a separate Yugoslavian partisan army list but rather they come under the partisians heading in the armies of france book.
If you look at the liberation list (pg 107) it mentions being used for Tito’s forces….

I’m pretty sure it should work as it scales up for Korea and potentially could to modern area too.
All you need is the scale used to transform planes characteristics into play values.
If I remember properly, Andy Chambers shared some of those informations in a previous post.
It needs to be tested for sure but if we look at WoG/WoW, both…[Read more]

Based on my limited knowledge of WW2 if you are talking about the National Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia, it should be included under the Partisans army list in the Army of France and the Allies book.

Master Chief replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
Thanks for the discussion that took place 6 years ago 😂 It would have been good if the latest FAQ had included thar discussion in its errata:
A unit hit by a flamethrower must check its morale
once firing has been worked out and pin markers allocated, as described above. Note that a morale check is requiredregardless of the number of casualties…[Read more] -

Printed in the latest FAQ:
If a Partisan army takes a German vehicle with a medium machine gun, will that MMG have 5 shots or 6?
The vehicles from the Italian and German lists used by the partisans do not bring with them the German/Italian army special rules, but rather use the Partisans army special rules.Since “command vehicle” is not a…[Read more]

This was printed in the latest FAQ:
Page 119, Escape Reaction. The second paragraph will be changed to read as follows:
The enemy’s shot is then resolved as normal. If the target has moved out of range or sight then the unit shoots and automatically misses. Note that if firing at a recce vehicle with HE, decide to escape or not right before t…[Read more]

So we are looking at.
Firing – work out range /mods etc
roll to hit – calculate number of hits.
PINs – work out and apply number of pins
Flamethrower moral check – moral check on target
Damage – multiply flamethrower hit out to number of damage rolls required.
roll number of hits to see if damage is caused
-remove casualties (remembering…[Read more]

invisible officer replied to the topic AWI – Number of models in flank companies? in the forum Black Powder 3 years, 5 months ago
The british AWI battalion sized “regiment” had 10 companies, including a light and a grenadier one.
so 10 % should be light, from 30 that’s 3.
—-
My own AWI are 4 cm and I play in a 1 to 1 rato. With the small number of effectives no problem, a company often fielden just 30 – 2 OR.

Master Chief replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
Yes I can see that reading, but it can also be read the other way … a flamethrower hit always requires a morale check (even if there were no casualties), and if the attack causes the target to take 50% or more casualties, the target takes another morale check.

Not AWI, but Napoleonics… I’ve got for my french i’ve got 4 Light, 4 Grenadiers & a 4 strong command party (flag, officer, muscian & soldier). Then the rest of the unit (4 in a small, 12 in a normal, 20 in a large unit) are all standard guys.
My Napoleonic russians who are slightly different in that their line regiments where 4 companies, 3…[Read more]

Nat replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
I’ve always read it that the flamethrower basically counts it as if the target has lost 50%+ of the unit even if they hadnt (or are a vehicle)… IE just the 1 moral check.
-
Master Chief replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
There is a slight modification in the FAQs:
Page 67, Flamethrower special rule, last paragraph on page. The first sentence should be changed to read as follows:
A unit hit by a flamethrower must check its morale once firing has been worked out and pin markers allocated, as described above.

Steeljackal replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
I had always read the rule as a modification to point 7 of the shotting procedure “target checks morale”
“…
SHOOTING
SHOOTING PROCEDURE
1. Declare target
2. Target reacts
3. Measure range and open fire
4. Roll to hit
5. Roll to damage
6. Target takes casualties
7. Target checks morale
…”not that it counted as an additional moral test “…The…[Read more]

Master Chief replied to the topic Flamethrower against vehicles in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
Yes you roll D6 to determine the number of hits. In your example you get 4 hits, so roll 4D6 with Pen +3, and each 8+ scores 1 damage. For each damage roll on the vehicle damage table to determine its effect.

Master Chief replied to the topic Flamethrower and moral check in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 5 months ago
