Actually that was under the “ORDERS TO TROOPS INSIDE BUILDINGS” section that started on page 122. So a Run Order can be issued to a unit to leave the building, and if the unit can also reach another building across the street (with at least one model at an opening into the building), it should be able to enter it.

SteveT replied to the topic In and out in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 9 months ago
Hm. But that is really talking about adjoining buildings. Not running across a street into a new one. Right?

Bolt Actikn 2nd Ed page 123 top left paragraph:
A Run order can be used to either leave the building, to move up or down two floors, to move up to two adjoining buildings, or to make an assault into an adjoining floor or
building. A running unit cannot also shoot – as per the usual rule. Note that some buildings have a flat roof which is a…[Read more] -

This question arose yesterday.
Can an infantry unit leave a building and enter a different building (say across the street) in a single Run order?
Cheers

MTBs /small boats will have been used to slip under radar to mine channels used by subs and also to clear an area before you sail your own subs / capital ships out of harbour.
Could you do dieppe… possibly… but I wouldnt due to the numbers involved… but the Commando raids (such as the recover of the paras who took apart the german radar…[Read more]

MTB and Schnellboote had DC / Wasserbomben. They used them mainly to attack surface vessels, running close along . throwing them and going away full Speed. The blast broke the Targets back.
They also used them in fleeing before destroyers and similar. Not nice to run over a DC….. .
Submarine hunting was rarely done. The boats had limited…[Read more]

Warlord’s German historian was not asked about IR 950, the Azad Hind. So I doubt that it will be included in the next Normandie book.
The unit was organised from may 44 on like a German Standard infantry unit. Serving mostly as occupation force and retreating post Invasion it had few Engagements. It was never trusted , there had been…[Read more]

Charge The Guns replied to the topic Charging though friendly units in the forum Pike & Shotte 3 years, 9 months ago
Hi Mark, I think I would interpret this one as that you have to get two orders to achieve the charge. One to get through the friendly troops and see your target, and then the second order for the unit to charge. This is on the basis of what the rules say about having to see the target, but that you may have a final move to contact being the…[Read more]

Nice choices. I have always struggled between choosing 1 veteran Sherman vs 2 regular Chaffees with recce ability.
I chose the M3 White scout car over the M3 Halftrack for the former’s longer movement range, although it can only transport 8 men vs the latter’s 12 men. But that is sufficient for my 5-man engineer team. I also chose inexperienced…[Read more]

To be fair we normally do a charge order and then a supporting move order for the other units.

Well, if you will be able to convert that Warhammer shield into a convincing German one you would be 100% able to scratch a Panzerschreck without any ready made parts.
But that’s just my own scratchbuilding loving me.
Funny how a thread can change. Now we are at the prices. And yes, some Warlord prices make me :-o. But compared to the on…[Read more]

This was also clarified in the latest FAQ Sep 2020:
If a transport vehicle is destroyed, transported unit suffer D6 hits. Do these hits use the PEN value of the weapon that hit and destroyed
the vehicle? No, the roll to damage is made without PEN modifiers.

You could find it on the official BRS site but as it may not be updated, the dedicated topic will bring the latest version. -

Nick
ParticipantThis happened recently. A transport with a squad in was hit and destroyed by both a panzerfaust and flamethrower coming from same unit. Questions: Does the hit unit for wounds (after d6) get hit by the penetration of the weapons or just their morale level? Would the unit if technically hit by flamer also need a flamer morale…
