I did that set long ago, before Warlord took it over. In Imperial KĆ¼risser style.Ā The number of options is impressive.Ā But the horses a bit stiff in poses. I tried to give them a bit more Action.
I use to assemble all miniatures before painting. I do single miniature basing so handling is easy.Ā I use plastic glue, the melting of surface giv…[Read more]

Hi,
I’m not a very skilled painter but here is a few things I can share with you:
– Sprues: priming on sprue save time but you still need to adjust a few things once pieces are cut from the sprues. Being the best option or the worst (or something in between) really depends on the kind of models. Don’t forget that you also may have to spend time…[Read more]

Hello,
Yesterday, I got my first box of Black Powder Miniatures: Cavalry of the Sun King. I’m impressed. They are gorgeous! I haven’t painted miniatures since I was in school and then they weren’t models. They were 15mm lead figures.
Anyways, I saw a video that didn’t recommend painting miniatures on the sprue. So, I clipped of the pieces I…[Read more]

So reading through the Battle for the Pacific Rules manual that I got with the August copy of Wargames Illustrated and theres a few questions I’ve got – I hope these are due to the rules manual being a cut down version of the full book!
1) AA against aircraft – pg 16, says that the roll is never modified, yet pg 15 aircraft trait largeĀ has a…[Read more]

I got two of the nice Warlord KFK.Ā Ā The model represents the submarine hunter version of KFK 1 ā 157. They had Depth Charges and 1x 3,7 cm and 1. 2 cm AA.Ā Ā Minesweepers had just 2 x 2 cm AA.
They had a āSpitzgattā aft, from KFK 18 on the āSpiegelheckā was flat. That allowed an easier building.
Soon the Allied superiority in the air made…[Read more]

Yes of course in most cases it is better to use the main gun. Makes senseāit is the main gun! Ā But if you really NEED Ā suppression in some particular situations, then the MG will give you want you want.
Remember also if your tank has any pins, then needing a 6s or 7s will rapidly become a reality. So again the MMG might be worth it.
There are…[Read more]

As most main guns roll only one die, difficult shots that need, say, Ā a 6 or 7, are most likely to achieve nothing. Ā However, when are rolling 5 MG dice, you clearly have much higher chance of achieving something vs those hard-to-hit targets. And that pin may be all you need to shut the enemy down or even force a rout/morale c…[Read more]

But all other SS units have the option of Fanatics, so I would think they would to? Ā Warlord even do figures for them, but their list is nowhere :p

2)only the launching model, not able to target emu thing at close range on the arc where you are launching
3) all

The SS Divisional Pionier units had the same OOB the Heer units had.Ā Ā And no special toys. š
The “Sturmpionier” is mostly a gamer myth, the units that had that name assigned in WW II for some time are ordinary Pioniere selected for some siege operation like Sewastopol. They got a higher number of assault explosive devices and some special t…[Read more]

Pretty sure that’s not them as their entry says “Often overlooked in favour of the dashing panzers or elite Waffen-SS troops”.
The SS Pioneers are mentioned in the Battle of the Bulge book.

Master Chief replied to the topic Vehicle crew stunned in the forum Bolt Action 4 years ago
The “crew is stunned” part is just a lead in descriptive. In Bolt Action rule terms you just give the tank 1 more pin, and flip its Order die to “Down” if it has one, or take one out from the bag and give it a “Down” if it does not already have one. This simulates the crew not being able to do anything for the rest of the turn.
