Just Samurai their Ashigaru and peasants. I have over 100 itching to go hand to gland. This includes calvary.
Errata in our future methinks.
Thank you very much.
You have a ten man squad they advance and fire. After movement the squad looks like this:
XXXXXXX
XXX
Do the three figures in the second rank receive a -1 penalty to their shooting?
I have heard that they do and also that they don’t. Can someone point me to aanswer????
Could be a errata is in our future
For Knights you keep the Lord Knight at 3. A wizard, magic 3 and, perhaps some familiars. One unit of Knights 5. A Champion (maybe). Retainers should be 10 figures. I also wish they had a Greate Gonne.
The Knights list is almost pure Bretonian.
For Samurai you need adjustments in armor and weapons. Are Naganata spears or Halberds? You would need two lists, early and late.
I am hoping to bring back my Swiss from Warhammer Ancients and my Japanese as well.
I agree with Mark. Spear throwing should be a one shot deal. Unless the thrower figure has a backup figure behind him to pass spears on. I have not received my book yet but, I think Rick was thinking along the line of a Roman philum.
Hello, my name is Don from Sacramento California. I play BA right now. Working on US Army figures for the Pacific. I also have US Marines, Japanese and Australians. Saw a post on FB about LoE with pictures of a game. Thought I would check in to see what’s what.
Dang, I sold my entire Empire Army. I understand that Samurai will be in the works. Can anyone confirm that???
In fact, the Japanese used a Stuart when landing on Corrigador along with two Shinhoto Chi-Ha. The Stuart helped pull the two Japanese tanks off the beach.
It seems that movement will be complex moving one figure at a time. Prehaps, skirmish movement trays? This whole matter came up in a game where my Japanese were getting wacked in Burma 44
In the ambush on burma road. I thought the set up, for the secenario, favored the troops going up the road.
Thanks, I guess we need to line our models like Fredrick the Great. So much for fluid action.
I have a question about shooting. You have a group of six riflemen. A enemy unit comes into view and you shoot at it. On page 31, distance between models, it states you always measure the distance between units from the bases of the closest models. In the above case the distance is 12 inches, half range.
The shooting unit is in two ranks. On page 53 it states you measure the distance between each firing model. Measuring from the back rank of the firing unit shows the model is beyond half range. Does this mean that the riflemen in the back rank take a -1 modifier, while those in front do not???
