The only step I can think you missed is placing the 2″ template after the hit roll to see if any other units could be hit.

They are similar in game terms, but I like the 222 better. Points wise the 222 is 25 pts cheaper at regular.
In Shooting, the preference comes to 1 shot or 2…I tend not to roll well so the 2 weaker shots allow me a better chance of at least hitting. The 2, HE 1″ templates also allow me to maybe do more against foot. But again this comes to preference… the Russian can pick up some of this with the extra fixed LMG.
They used to have a location on there website that had the diagrams for putting together alot of there resin/metal models…since the upgrade to thete website i havent been able to find it…
Here is the US
Here some pics of my German collection and my US (All marines except for vehicles so far)
Nice battle board…my problem has always been storing larger items like that. I think they make fantastic looking miniatures look even better when played on a board like that.
Sorry wont load the images even below 4mb…
Trying again
We have been playing lately that snipers do not do exceptional damage automatically on a successful wound roll to weapon teams they need a 6. But we also decided that any unit being hit by a sniper takes 2 pins.
We had the same problem with “Armored Transports” just being eliminated by being closer. So we made it a morale check to remain.
I believe that you can only fire the flamethrower at a different target if it is a vehicle in range. Like the rules for panzerfausts…
According to the rules as written and my understanding of them, lt mortars have a crew of 2, adding crew does not effect its performance and there is no mention of doing so. If a squad has 3 mortars it gets 3 shots one with each. Each one that hits gets a 1″ blast marker and that is all.
From what ive read and understand, if you go with the mixed weapon squads 1944 on, you cannot field any grenidier squads but you gain the option to add “1 and only 1” knee mortar to each squad, with a second man becoming his assistant. No “4” mortars in a single squad.
We had similar feelings about snipers. We house ruled them that if they wound they do exceptional damage on a 4+, and they cannot kill heavy weapon teams. But hits from them do cause 2 pins on the target.
You know..I have just assumed all this time the ATR is +1…ass..
Me….
