Is there a movement limitation to Dense Terrain? As a Biologist, I know that there are “mixtures” of terrain involving vegetation and cover. There are two levels of vegetation when a Biologist describes a wooded area … Overstory and Understory … Overstory happens to be vegetation growth that is usually above 10 feet of the ground s…[Read more]

Can someone point me to the rule concerning Senior NCOs. I’ve seen the rule and I’d like to put the information on one of my Easy Army lists. I especially like the rule used with a major.

Alright … someone please tell me why in an “assault-type” squad, the included flamethrower and any included LMGs, or other assigned and paid-for weapons, cannot be used in an assault. Seems counter intuitive if you ask me.

Eric T Holmes replied to the topic Game scale in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 5 months ago
Hello fellow gamers:
If using Bolt Action weapon ranges, the scale is roughly 1 inch = 20 yards. Use of additional, varied, and denser terrain features gets you into a line-of-sight “see it, shoot it” game and still allows for maneuvering.
With a figure-scaled game 25mm-28mm at 1” = 5 ft or 25mm = 1.5 m (approximately 1::60 scale), theref…[Read more]

I’ve kitbashed all my Soviet Women figures just by exchanging female heads with the Soviet figure.
Harder conversions were usually finding an unusual figure and chopping off pieces and then replacing an item.

Eric T Holmes started the topic Is there a specialized rule for Panzergranadiers debussing from a Transport? in the forum Bolt Action 1 year, 8 months ago
At some time of my play experiences, another player utilized a chain of events where the carried Panzergrenadier squad departed its transport at the end of the transport’s advance move without an activation order from an officer. There was no intervening or additional draw from the Order Dice bag. Am I correct in my assumption that there needs t…[Read more]

Gentle Beings,
I’d like to propose an entry, based on historical data more than gameplay, for the “Luftfaust” AKA “Fliegerfaust.”
Fliegerfaust (lit. “pilot’s fist”, “plane fist”, or “aviator’s fist”), also known as the “Luftfaust” (lit. “air fist”), was a German prototype of an unguided, man-portable, multi-barreled ground-to-air rocket…[Read more]

Eric T Holmes replied to the topic Bren Carrier – Rules clarification in the forum Bolt Action 4 years, 5 months ago
I tend to use the UC Bren Carrier as a weapons mount and thus only have a crew of three in the vehicle – Driver, Gunner, Assistant Gunner. Now, I made my carriers convertible over three armies, Canadian/US, German (obviously a captured vehicle) and, Soviet. Both the Canadian/US and the Soviet are machine gun carriers. Heavy and medium re…[Read more]
