They were generally painted the same colour as the surface they were on, so rafts on decks might be dark grey, suspended on superstructure sides might be light grey. Lots of people like painting them yellow though to brighten up their models.
There were pictures of the new Warlord Fairmile D gunboat on one of the facebook groups a few weeks ago. No other Ds available in 1/300 other than the H&R one that has been mentioned before and that is an MTB version
what a lovely model. you are very talented
Does anybody know why torpedoes do not cause critical hits? it seems strange that a small gun shell can cause a critical hit but a quarter of a ton of high explosive going off does not. Richard, do you know why?
Ah ok
That attendees at tge noot amp got replacement books is confirmed. I have now seen my friend’s freebie new copy.
No it is the first printing with all the errors
Hopefully not a “bash” but it would be nice and easy to achieve for Warlord to put a page on their site with some simple assembly instructions. This is supposed to be a starter game for people with little or no knowledge of naval wargaming so a bit of help here would be good. For example, where exactly do the masts on the PT boats go and which way round? Which go go where on the boats and how do the crew blobs fit on the 37mm gun? Some people will find it ok looking for info on the web bit others may struggle so why not help them out? It would make warlord look good i think
Oh that’s a shame, and i just found out the Vosper Type 2 was only used in the North Sea as well. Maybe my Mediterranean idea is sunk and I should just play the North sea
