I would actually hope for the opposite. For no champions and a minimum of special characters. I am not saying you are wrong, it is just interesting that we have such divergent opinions and I might well be wrong, not in what we get as I have no idea what that is, but in what I think I want. After all I was wrong about slotabases and round bases being good ideas.

What I want is a good but generic rule set, with no background or fluff, so I am hoping this is it. Generic army lists are just what I want. I had hoped the Mantic rules might be it but they seem to be vanishing up their own background like you-know-who.

The name has more behind it than you think. It is the title of a fairly famous book, you know the sort, one that everyone has heard of but no one has actually read.
