    Hi Mark,

Still got your Night Actions Visibility Rules v1.

Example: spotting from the bridge of a huge vessel has generally more spotting chance than from the bridge of a small one.

What is the reason of not using the viewer’s vessel size as spotting modifier?

    Thanks for explanation, Mark.

Re spotting mine fields: I am no expert so I cannot provide further ideas how detailed to implement such a rule considering various mine types.

Re “Blinds” in your houserule: Using fake markers seems to be the only way to play an “hidden” unit, in any tabletop game.

But if dummies are acting too long, a game looses ist fascination – as painter of models, you want to see them in action. In worst case one reveals his vessel for the last 2 turns in a game. So apply your visibility rules in the 2 or 3 first turns only?

    Hi Mark,

Reading with great interest your night action rules.

How do you handle spotting  of mine fields?

My question was because in the book from John Lambert & Al Ross “Allied Coastal Forces of World War II Vol. II
    page 176 it says:
“[..] following areas were to be painted dark blue-grey (B.15): the deck [..]”

page 177: “As a rule, RN coastal forces craft used only B.15, G.45, and white [..]”.

But in other info I cannot find a confirmation of so I wonder why they stated such.

Thanks again, I will check your older Vosper posts.

Thanks..that leads to my final question about deck:
Home fleet steel decks 1936-1943 were painted dark grey, same the wooden deck of Vospers in this period?

What about the dark blue-grey paint (B.5/B.15)- was used for decks as well for Home Fleet, or only for vessels including coastal forces in Mediterranean?

    Rules draft:

Re example score sheet, why Bill’s Objective Score in Game 1 is Zero, but the Scenario page point 2 says 850 points?

Re Convoy Defence/Attack Objective Score “50%” – how to apply the 50% rule?

Re scenario 3 Convoy attack, 50% is 425 points, not 450.
Kindly ask to explain please as I should like to test rules.
