Great to hear. As many have said, I’m loving this renewed push in Antares. Even without new model releases, the articles are great to have!
The recent articles in the warlord newsletters should probably go front and center on the Nexus – they are great reads and a great way to get new players interested!
<p style=”text-align: left;”>Thanks.</p>
I would have thought warlord would want to be kept more in the loop with their own IP.
I can’t find ghosts of Antares on winged hussars site either.
Looking good!
Have you got a group shot of them all together?
Ooo, that’s an interesting article.
I didn’t mean net ammo as a whole had a buff, simply that net ammo on an x-howitzer is more powerful than on an x-launcher.
Mag mortars with the double template don’t make use of that with special ammunition types as far as I know – so by firing special ammo with a mag mortar its a double waste: not gaining the damage bonus you’ve paid for in the unit cost, and not paying for the template bonus you’ve paid for in the unit cost.
It would be nice to see that same buff on all the ammo types, because otherwise those ammo types aren’t used [on the big guns].
I hadn’t considered range, but still not sure it makes it worthwhile. To take a strategic choice you need to play at least 1k points, where you can easily find space for a relatively cheap x-launcher.
I knew I had seen it somewhere – it’s in the living FAQ, not the living errata!
Net ammo has had that buff, why do you think other types shouldn’t get it?
Any option that’s not being used should be changed in some way, whether that’s a point change or a rule change (or its simply removed). Having options that are never worth it are just a trap for new players, and bloat for everyone else.
But compression tech doesn’t work on biological matter, so wouldn’t work for transport capacity.
I did consider a better power source for the PLS, but thought I’d ask the question anyway.
I guess the transport pod could compress when not being used, and that is how the model is?
Well that explains it then!
Thanks
Thanks Tim.
I’d overlooked the fact that all the freeborn C3 vehicles share the same stats with the Isorian equivalents, so its just a case of swapping the models.
Final question (well, that’s probably a lie), does the T7 transport drone come with a mag light support option (or a twin mag light support)? All the pics should a plasma light support.
