Nice to see some well painted shields. I find designs tend to get out of hand unless they are quite abstract so end up using transfers a lot.

Interesting, good find but for me that feeds into not playing as actually ‘immune’ but simply use the modifier for a barge which effectively this very nearly is. I am sure the same could have happened to other shallow draft boats. A pity more not here but worth persevering perhaps a few more will add. I have to confess I have not tried to be too historically accurate with the paint schemes – I do want to be able to see what’s on the table! I had some fun with dazzle designs with my small British fleet. I attach some pics below…
