Until Warlord do produce some smaller ships take a look at Peter Pig’s “Pirate Ships” range. They are supposed to be 1/450 but sit quite happily alongside the Warlord ships.

I have a number of 1/350th kits (including the Polish Flower Class kit) in construction. They can all be converted to waterline models. It just takes masking tape to establish the line of cut, a Razor Saw or Jewellers Saw, a steady hand and a fair bit of patience. When cut down they are best mounted on stiff board to give the model some strength.
