I hope they finally fix the Firing Smoke rules.
The opposing player should not be able to determine the landing point of a smoke round that does not land on target. The landing point should be randomly determined using the “Miscalculation” effect in the Smoke Barrage Chart.
I’ve been playing Bolt Action since before the version 2 rules came…[Read more]

Robert Scholtz started the topic Do intervening infantry give soft cover to armor? in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 2 months ago
Situation: I want to shoot my medium anti-tank gun at a tank that is out in the open. Next to the tank is an enemy infantry section that is between my anti-tank gun and the tank, so my shoot would pass through the infantry before hitting the tank.
Question: Does the infantry section give the tank a -1 “Soft Cover” To Hit modifier?

Robert Scholtz replied to the topic Warplane Type Chart on Reference Sheets do not match Official Bolt Action Errata in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 2 months ago
That is how I read it also.
It just seems strange that I can’t find any Bolt Action 2.0 Reference Sheets online with the correct information listed on the Warplane Chart.

1 or 2 – Strafing fighter,
3 or 4 – Fighter-bomber,
5 or 6 – Ground-attack aircraft
All the quick re…[Read more]

Robert Scholtz started the topic To what teams/sections does the British Paras Stubborn Rule apply? in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 3 months ago
Is it correct that the British Paras Stubborn rule only applies to the Paratroop Infantry Sections in a unit?
It does not apply to the rest of the sections (officer, sniper, mortar team, etc.) in the unit even if they are paratroopers. Only the paratroop infantry sections would not have to count pins when performing a moral test. All the o…[Read more]

Robert Scholtz started the topic Royal Navy Section in the forum Bolt Action 3 years, 3 months ago
Which British units can have a Royal Navy Section attached to it?
Also, what is the cost for each member of the section? Are they the same as other infantry sections (13 pts for Veteran, 10 pts for Regular, and 8 pts for Inexperienced) or are they limited as to what experience level they can be assigned (ex. Airborne sections are Veteran…[Read more]
