Oh ok, good to know. Inexperienced gives me some budget HE, but regular makes sense because more morale, harder to kill, and can take a spotter so it can sit behind cover.

Yeah an inexperienced 4 man crew heavy mortar for 46 points is tempting…. Who cares if it’s inexperienced when it can sit back with 72″ of range, nearly untouchable? I also have a friend who has a 3d printer, maybe I could call in a favor, or do as you said and DIY a mortar. Nice thing is they are simple looking.

I was thinking, there’s been some pictures floating around the internet of homemade mortars…. So would it be worth it to DIY a mortar to give my army some HE? The Perry box comes with radios that I could use to make a spotter as well.

Warlord has great customer service. I bought the Victory at Sea battle for the Pacific starter set, it was missing the turrets for one of the cruisers. They promptly replaced them.

Now that I think about it, rifles are pretty good in a US force, and you can only take up to 4 SMGs in a squad. So maybe I just go with all rifles and “tough fighters”?

Ah I see, thank you very much. I was leaning towards the Chaffee because it looked fun and had recce, and I wanted something unique that doesn’t appear on a US list much. And yeah lol, a Panther’s gun or a Flak 36 won’t care about the armor either way….

Ok so here’s my list right now, I’m really happy with how it’s turned out. I have also been thinking ahead about how to use the remaining miniatures in the box to make a larger 750 point list. Iv’e also been thinking that I could add a tank to the 750 point list to make it 1000 points eventually.

Yeah I just realized that, especially since my friend is a tank fanatic who would probably build his army around a Tiger… It isn’t advertised, but looking at reviews the Perry box comes with 2 bazookas. So maybe I could model a bazooka, and if my opponent brings a tank I could swap the vet sniper (65 points) for a reg bazooka (60 points)?

I’m not quite sure, but easyarmy allows 3. Like I said, easyarmy is 3rd party so it could be wrong or outdated. But here’s what I found after some research:
