Well I’ve been cracking on with more terrain. I’ve never made a river before, but always wanted one. So this is my first attempt. First section is 6” long with the “water” being 1.5” wide and whole roughly 3.5-4” wide.

The Elmer’s glue is still drying here. The liquid will hopefully be a reddish color when I’m done after all the layers.
Update on the house.

I still need to finish the front door, but otherwise I believe it’s done.

Has a little side garden.

Had an extremely productive couple days of terrain making. Picked up some floral arrangements from hobby lobby and a pet store.



The pot has just been converted into a building using a doorway from my bits box.

Space left on the base to get some scatter terrain and foliage.
Also made some more scatter terrain using the templates from Kar’A nine to cut out bases.

The middle one has my first attempt at a termite mound made out of a cork and hot glue.

Got some terrain done this morning. I cut the templates for small terrain pieces out of the Kar’ A nine set and made the base out of Vinyl Commercial Tile (roughly $.66 per square foot from Lowe’s or Home Depot). Matching the base material to the basing I’m doing on my models.

With models mixed in to show off the match.

Blue plants are new purchases from yesterday from a fish/pet store.

Rest are plastic plants from dollar store or Hobby Lobby.

Thanks Dan, I’ll have to give them a shot. Miniaturemarket.com just started carrying them and their store is local to me. I use just about all brands, but always on the look out for something better. I have an airbrush, but have never gotten around to learning how to use it, so all my stuff is brushed.

Not much progress made around here. Spent the last 2+ weeks with my father on hospice. He passed away peacefully yesterday. This morning I spent a little time working on my C3M4 drone and it’s base.




I must still finish the weapons, engines and thrusters. I am really enjoying how it is turning out though.

I’ve been away for a bit with family issues. But for my birthday I picked up the Virai book at my FLGS (which is once again carrying Test of Honour). I also ordered another copy of the Kar’A nine set (last day of the summer offensive sale) and got a free c3t7 as the optional goodie. They should get here in about a week or two.

Waiting to see the next promo before my next purchase (probably more BtGoA or ToH).

Well as usual I started off strong but life happened. I’ve been out of many loops as my fathers condition has taken a drastic turn for the worst (now on hospice), I have taken indefinite leave from my job as of last week. I have also not been around here much. I will try and get a picture up probably in the morning as we have to visit my wife’s grandmother now.

I’d like to say what I have seen posted here and in everyone’s blogs looks fantastic. Always a joy to see painted units and armies.

So I got my replacement part…and 7, yes 7 x-launchers. I was only missing the ammo container on the one x-launcher. Now I have a battery.

Great look all around. How did you do those plant towers?

Basing is phenomenal. I really like the purple accent color on your army.

Speed is something that hits me time to time, but my painting skills are no where near as good as yours.

I believe the recent topics are the most recently created topics and not the most recently responded to topics, if that makes sense. So even bough there’s a new introduction, it won’t show up on the topics list since it’s an old topic.

Thanks Dom, you have no idea how hard it is not to…. I had the Algoryn box in my cart multiple times over the last week (Ghar too as those are my sons preference). Thinking of still pulling the trigger, but torn on the free item (transporter drone?).

Also short lul in getting stuff done the last few days, but I have more pics to post later.

My C3 starter set from two posts up came missing the ammo drum thing for the X-launcher. I’ve emailed customer service (that Friday night US time/Saturday morning UK time). Got an email Monday saying they are sending the replacement part right away to me.
