Here my A5M4 Claude from PlanePrinter 1/200 in the colours of the aircraft carrier Soryu during the war against China in 1939.

The accurate decals are from miscmini.com. I needed full 4 hours to put the decals on the planes 🙂

I painted them with Valleyo-silver and simply painted over the shining silver then Citadel Nuln Oil. The result is a dull aluminium.

EDIT: I also attached a picture with the early version of the G3M1 (with barrel shaped turrets).

    These Thunderbolts look great.

Here some planes I finished recently

A6M2 Zeros of the Tainan Kokutai. The V-103 is in the colours of the famous japanese IJN-ace Saburo Sakai.

Fiat CR.32 of the Grupo 2-G-3 duringthe Spanish Civil War. Nationalistic forces. 3-51 is the plane of the spanish Ace Commandante Joaquin Garcia Morato.

Heinkel He-51 of Legion Condor during the Spanish Civil War
    He51 Legion Condor

Heinkel He-112 in nationalist-spanish-colours. I know only 2 kills done by spanish He-112: They were delivered after the republican air force was already destroyed so there was only one kill of a He-112 during the Civil War. Later during WW2 a spanish He-112 operating from the spanish colony in North Africa shot down a US-P-38.

    Ki-43 I of the IJA, 1st Sentai

Ki-61 Ib of the IJA, 78th Sentai

    These Thunderbolts look great !

Here some of my recent planes – I changed my painting style which worked quite good for the A6M2 Zero.

V-103 is the plane of the IJN-ace Saburo Sakai

The CR.32 3-51 is the plane of the nationalistic-ace Garcia Morato

I attached neodyn-magnets on the bottom of the planes so I can switch between hexbases and Blood-Red-Skies-bases.

I buyed the card-set with the additional japanese planes, which are very useful.
One question regarding the Ki-61 Hien: Obviously the card represents an early version like the Ki-61 I OTSU (equipped with 4x 12mm guns) because of the firepower value of 1.
The Ki-61 HEI replaced the 2 12mm guns in the wings with the excellent german Mauser-151-20mm cannons. So it has 2x12mm and 2x20mm. The Ki-61 TEI had the same setting like the HEI but used japanese build Ho-105 20mm cannons instead of the german Mauser.
How would a card of these KI-61 HEI or TEI version look like?

The B5N has an asymmetrical positioning of the torpedo (and also of the bombs) but not as extreme as shown in the BRS-miniature.
The BRS-miniature is excellent, regarding its details – with the exception of the torpedo which even cross the landing gear!

Here a good picture of the historical positioning.
    B5N torpedo Position

The “head” of the torpedo is also more ahead than on the BRS model.

Great pictures of the Aichi Vals – really great painted.

For the B5N I used a jigsaw to cut the torpedo off the plane. This worked quite well.

I knew that by this process material would be lost – so to keep the plane save the torpedos got damaged by the process. So I had to repair the damaged torpedos.
Also, although they were attached historicly assymetric on the plane the torpedos are crossing the contact point of the flight-base. So I first attached the attachment-shells in the plane. Then I cut the torpedo in 2 pieces and put them in front and on the back of the attachment point.
After this I put some filling elements so when someone looks at the torpedo from the side – there is no interruption in the lines. (I sincerely hope that this English is understandable 🙂 Sorry if not ).

Modified torpedo and attachment for the flightbase (B5N)

    Thank you.

For the A6M Zeros I used acryl color from Valleyo (Sky Grey).
