I agree that some of the cards are just too powerful. When we play, you get to use your six traits once – and that’s it.
Besides the booklet, what else is in the package? Surely for $32 US (+ shipping) there’s more than just an update to the instructions…
Yes – the metal-cast minis are much, much heavier than the soft plastic (Spitfires, ME109s) or the hard plastics (Hurricanes).
The BRS minis are 1/200 so I think you’d have to scale up your measurements by a factor of 3x. Sure, if you had the space, why not? I find the standard scale as is already takes up a kitchen table, so you’d need a living room floor or a garage to have room.
I believe that nothing official has been said. I don’t recall reading anything unofficial either, other than vague comments on the Facebook BRS Ready Room page that once existing stocks of metal are gone, they likely will be replaced with resin casting.
There hasn’t been an official release of any HE-111s yet. I haven’t read of any rumors that there will be one in the near future.
I use the plastic ruler from the Warlords site. I’m not sure why it would be hard to use – line up the start of the ruler with the colored cardboard disc and then move the base the appropriate distance. It’s not hard….
Yep, the Facebook page is both helpful and interesting. If you’re worried about privacy, just make up a false profile – Facebook only knows whatever info you give to them.
Anyone else in Victoria BC?
I’d like to see some Italian and more Pacific planes as well.
Not that I’ve seen – only the Basic Rules have been released as a PDF.
Personally I’d like to see all three of the instruction booklets rewritten into one single manual – and with a good index.
Here’s a link for some more details about the new MiG Alley expansion.
I use a big square of blue felt and have never had a problem with the cardboard clouds moving around. I guess it depends on the material you use for a mat.
The models themselves are very nice too, and I can see them being easy to paint (silver anyone?). Warlord are persisting with metal which has some problems associated with how they balance on the Advantage bases. They really need to be plastic or resin.
So these new planes are metal casting instead of plastic? That stinks.
Sorry, but I’m uninterested in looking at jets in another war when there’s still so much to cover in WW2.
Try searching on eBay for ‘Blood red skies JU 88’. There are a few boxes there, some for reasonable prices, and some not so reasonable.
