Or a Warlord rep could just answer the question…..
Well in game, the two new super frigates are very different in stats to the Constitution, which is why we’d like someone from Warlords to update us on the intended points cost.
Constitution has 60 hull points to the 44 of the other two and a broadside of 331 to the President/United States’ 222, along with other minor differences to bow weaponry and break point, along with the obvious lack of special rules.
The Brigs are really easy to convert too, particularly if you have some leftover parts from frigates. Cut out the middle section to make a small sloop; extend the stern with a spare frigate stern piece and add the leftover mast from above for a bark or 6th rate frigate!
It would be excellent instead of the cards having the same thing on both sides, they make better use of the reverse. Having a card with large and small 3rd rate stats on opposite sides, or 5th and 6th rate frigates as examples would help immensely. For the names ships they could have different versions for different stages of the ships’ career, and it would be really, really handy if the card had the ships points value too.
Super Glue Gel (Selleys brand). Gives a little bit of time for repositioning and seems to work fine on the cardboard sails.
Don’t play the poor Spanish….
Had my hand on my wallet until it was confirmed as 1/350. Will have to go back to plan Thingiverse to get a Flower sadly.
If you squint a bit an Akizuki looks like the Tashkent. Drop a turret, add a stack and some triple tubes and you’re gold 🙂
Maybe force balance? Your MTBs have only HMGs so if they are facing T/S/M boats that are immune to their torpedos they are at a big disadvantage. The Bronekaters give you cheap gunnery support. Also they are cool 🙂
That lived up to expectations, a bit sadly.
I would have thought the 88mm German guns to be powerful enough to band up with 4″ guns personally, but the naval mount is inferior in calibre length and muzzle velocity to the famous ’88’. I guess it is also slightly closer to 76.2mm than 101.6mm if you are being simplistic.
I think I’ll just pay the 5 points and give the Bronekaters their 3″ guns.
