2x Starter box or starter box plus squadron boxes?

As title suggests, is there anything in the Spitfire/Me109 boxes that isn’t in the core box? Because 2x core box seems the best value with extra dice etc. Looking to start the game and just wonder which way to go. Also are the aces boxes worthwhile?

You’ll be missing the rule books, the dices , the bomber and measuring tools.

But all of them can be bought apart.
The bomber templates will be obviously replaced by the models.

1x starter box, 1xspitfire box and 1xMe109 box
OR
2x starter box.

Is there anything in the spitfire box for example (cards/tokens) that ISN’T in the core/starter box.

Ok, then you won’t miss anything.
The squadron boxes contain all the extra you need to play them.
You’ll even get extra fire range measuring tool.
Everything specific for a plane type is included.
What you won’t get is the Doctrine and Theatre cards that are generic for the whole game.

The Spitfire box, for instance, include this :
6 Supermarine Spitfire MKII Fighters
6 Advantage flying bases
1 Aircraft card
6 Aircraft Trait Cards
6 Double-sided Pilot Skill Discs
1 Aircraft Markings Sticker Sheet
3 Action cards

So all of the individual aircraft trait cards and action cards in the spitfire box are in the core 2 player starter box?

So buying 2x 2 player starter boxes will give me everything I would get if buying 1x 2 player starter box, 1 me109 box and 1 spitfire box, plus additional dice, tokens, etc.

Absolutely.
The only extra cards which are not in the core box are the aces’ ones.

Koin-Koin, thanks, I had confirmation of that from Warlord as well, so if anyone else is looking at Germans vs Brits, 2x starter boxes is better value than 1x starter box and 1 each of the squadron boxes!
Probably get 2x starters and 1 each of the aces for brits vs germans.

The 2 boxes option is definitely a good one indeed. You may even be able to put all the stuff in one box with little effort.
