Can an AT weapon be fired at infantry? If so , assuming an AT projectile is being fired from that weapon, do you roll to hit just one man and applying the penetration roll to the unfortunate soul?
Thank you

An AT gun has the option of firing HE, so it can get several men under a template, with the Pen based of the HE effect. But a bazooka only kills one guy.

This means you only need +1 pen to get the maximum “to damage” vs inexperienced infantry, +2 pen vs regular, and +3 vs veterans. Once you go past that with an AP shot, it may be worth sacrificing ‘overkill’ for more hits with the template and lower pen.
Of course, if it’s just one guy standing there, or you don’t have the option of HE …
