I just found out about this HQ unit, and this may have been asked before. The wording for this HQ unit in the Battle of the Bulge book reads “Officer and two men for 37pts (inexperienced), 50pts (regular) and 61pts (veteran).” This looks close to the point cost for a normal US officer. Is the point cost for the 3-man team or only the officer?
Thanks.

What rules do you get under special rules?
At a guess, despite mentioning “officer” in the composition the unit wouldn’t act as an officer (2Lt, Lt, Capt or Major) in the game (no morale bonus or snap to it, just the benefits of it’s special rule/s) – that would account for the seemingly cheap cost.

I also do not have the book but came across it on google books whiles searching forntwin bazooka jeep, which coincidentally is the entry below the US Intel HQ unit and Intel Squad. The link is below if you are interested to take a look.

Before the Intel HQ unit listing there is a separate Intel “Officer” unit listing that can be added to a normal officer unit.

I’d treat him like a Commissar or Kempeitai Political Officer – officer in name only, more like a marker for a special rule.
October 23, 2018 at 6:39 pm #148954RichardParticipantCorrect, it’s another HQ unit.
November 9, 2018 at 9:49 am #149819MikeParticipantSo i was looking at these also. According to the entry i need to run 1 Intel and Recon squad for each Bazooka jeep. of course the I&R squad isn’t listed in easy army. Would the I&R HQ be a troop choice or an HQ choice?
